Immigration Minister Hon. Beverly Castillo Supports Indian Holiday “Holi”



Wednesday March 20th – Indians all over the world celebrated what they refer to as “Holi”. Holi is considered as one of the most revered and celebrated festivals of India and it is celebrated in almost every part of India. It is also sometimes called as the “festival of love” as on this day people get to unite together forgetting all resentments and all types of bad feeling towards each other. Columbus Central University’s students and Director, Candace Castillo was pleased to meet with the Honorable Beverly Castillo, Minister of State, Ministry of Immigration to honor this festive day by sharing some of the Indian culture, traditions and food. Columbus Central University’s Director, Candace Castillo commented, “The President, Vice President, administration and students were all delighted to have shared this day with Honorable Beverly Castillo as a symbol of our appreciation for her continued support not only for cultural diversity, but also for medical education in Belize.”
