Certifying and Submitting the MyERAS Application

Dear Doctor,

This ERAS Hot Topic message will cover information about Certifying and Submitting the MyERAS Application.

In order to apply for programs, your students must “certify and submit” their application. This is a one-time action that cannot be reversed and will lock their application, ensuring all programs receive the same copy of their application.

Before your students submit their application, keep in mind:

  • All required fields marked with a red asterisk (*) must be completed and saved.
  • Carefully review the entire MyERAS application to ensure everything is complete and correct.
  • The MyERAS application does not include a spell or grammar check feature.
  • They can not apply to programs until their application has been certified and submitted.

Once your students have submitted their MyERAS Application, they will not be able to make any changes or updates outside of the information provided in the Personal Information section. There are no exceptions.

Note: When they click Submit on the final screen of the “certify and submit” process, a screen will appear that reads:

Once you have certified and submitted your application, it will be locked and you will no longer be able to make changes to any section with the exception of the Personal Information Section. Your application will then be sent to all the programs to which you apply during this ERAS season. Please take the additional time to proofread your application for any errors or omissions.
